The Books
It’s an honor to translate authors like Sinclair Ferguson, John Piper, and J.I. Packer so that millions more would have access to their work.
One of our most recent translation projects was Elisabeth Elliot’s Through Gates of Splendor, and we pray this book would ignite many hearts for missions.
Our catalog includes over 500 titles. In 2024, we distributed 233,367 books across 20 countries and gave away 26,600 books. Some of our best-sellers are translations of Paul Tripp’s New Morning Mercies and Mark Dever’s What Is a Healthy Church?.
BITE Project
The BITE Project is a multi-media platform teaching bite-sized pieces of theology and church history.
BITE is an acronym: Biblia, Ideas, Teología, Experiencias (Bible, Ideas, Theology, Experiences). Some recent BITE projects include “Evangelism in Mexico City: The Church’s Challenges in a Mega-City” and “Can Google Promote False Doctrine?”.
In 2024, people interacted with articles, videos, podcasts and the BITE social media 20 million times.
Volvamos al Evangelio
Volvamos al Evangelio (Let’s Return to the Gospel) publishes articles from Spanish-speaking pastors and translated articles by John Piper, Tim Challies, and others. The content calls believers and churches to return to the message of salvation in Christ in every moment.
Some recent articles include “The Presence of God: A Fundamental Concept for Every Christian” and “Work and Redemption: Re-Thinking the Purpose of Work”.
In 2024, readers interacted with articles and the Volvamos social media 7 million times.
Imprints
Since late 2023, three other publishers have joined the Poiema family: Publicaciones Faro de Gracia, Libros Desafío, and Editorial Peregrino. Faro de Gracia brought titles from authors like Jonathan Edwards and B.B. Warfield. Libros Desafío brought scholarly resources and Calvin’s Institutes. And Editorial Peregrino, based in Spain, brought many great books from authors like Martin Lloyd-Jones, as well as an increased reach in Europe and North Africa.
